An organization in Ontario is seeking a qualified vendor to design, configure, and implement a cloud-based SharePoint environment to replace its existing on-premises servers. The objective is to enhance internal collaboration, centralize organizational information, and provide secure, web-based access to documents for both internal staff and a large community of external users.
The selected vendor will be responsible for configuring and setting up both internal and external SharePoint environments. This includes migrating documents from existing on-premises file servers in close collaboration with the IT Department, as well as coordinating on matters related to security and Microsoft 365 administration. The project scope further includes migrating and configuring user access groups and permissions, validating security, access, and usability, and delivering thorough documentation of the final SharePoint structure.
The new SharePoint solution must support features such as simultaneous document co-authoring, version history, reduction of duplicate documents, robust metadata implementation, and advanced search to facilitate document retrieval. Long-term information governance and retention must also be supported.
