The City seeks a comprehensive, cloud-based project management software solution to support its departmental project needs. The desired platform should provide unlimited boards, projects, and workspaces, with the ability to create unlimited items, subitems, and custom fields per board. Required views include Kanban, Timeline (Gantt), calendar, map, chart, and workload views for enhanced project tracking and visualization.
Integrated time tracking at the task level, extensive API access for custom integrations, and multi-condition automation logic are necessary. The platform must feature a workflow builder capable of operating at the workspace level and across multiple boards. Additionally, it should support unlimited dashboards that combine information from at least 20 boards, with a preference for handling 50 or more boards per dashboard. A minimum of 15 dashboard widget types is required, covering charts, progress tracking, workload, budgeting, and similar metrics. Advanced reporting, portfolio-level analytics, and tools like pivot tables must be included for in-depth insights.
The software must provide robust permissions management, including board-level (view, edit, comment roles), and multi-level permissions at the item, column, dashboard, and workspace levels. It should also allow for private workspaces with controlled membership to ensure confidentiality where needed.
Best-fit vendors:
• Experience in delivering cloud-based project management platforms to public sector clients
• Ability to provide enterprise-level solutions with robust customization and integration options
• Demonstrated expertise in implementing complex permission, dashboard, and reporting features
• Presence or partnerships within California preferred
