The Town of Canton, Massachusetts is seeking a qualified vendor for the installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of a cloud-based License Plate Recognition (LPR) system. This system is intended to automate and replace the existing physical sticker vehicle permit program by providing accurate, reliable, and automated validation of vehicles entering municipal facilities.

The LPR system must support real-time or near real-time validation of vehicle permits by integrating with the town’s existing permit fulfillment platform and database. It must promptly synchronize permit data to prevent stale information, with vendors asked to specify the minimum achievable synchronization frequency. The system should offer comprehensive, user-friendly reporting tools, remote access for authorized staff, and enable the exporting of data in standard formats such as CSV or Excel. Additional required features include a searchable, plate-by-plate history log, configurable hotlists to assist with law enforcement needs, and detailed vehicle entry counts aggregated by day, week, month, and year.

The contract for these services will be for a three-year period. Vendors are expected to deliver a solution that ensures seamless integration, data accuracy, and robust reporting for both operational and administrative use.
