Virginia is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive cloud-based digital instructional solution for AP Language and Composition. The solution must include student instructional materials, supplementary digital readers, teacher resources, assessments aligned with the College Board framework, and offer virtual professional learning opportunities as well as ongoing technical support.
The required solution should deliver high-quality commercial off-the-shelf digital content that is accessible through learning platforms and integrates smoothly with existing school systems. Materials must align with AP standards, supporting both educators and students in effective instruction and preparation for AP Language and Composition. Content should encompass a broad range of texts, including trade books, extended texts, speeches, essays, imaginative literature, popular culture texts, images used as texts, and more.
Digital access to both textbooks and related resources for students and teachers must be provided. The solution should feature asynchronous professional development modules or webinars to ensure educators can efficiently navigate and use the digital platform. For system administration, the platform must allow batch management and automation of routine data tasks via flat file import or RESTful API integration, and include processes for timely updates and security patches, including those for third-party applications.
Additionally, single sign-on (SSO) capabilities are required, with integration for industry-standard SSO providers such as ClassLink, Google, or Azure. The system must allow for automatic user account creation through scheduled file feeds as specified by the agency.
