A South Carolina school district is seeking a vendor to provide a scalable, cloud-based Chromebook management system to oversee approximately 80,000 student devices and associated accessories across 90 school sites. The desired solution must support comprehensive device inventory, assignment, fee tracking, and robust reporting capabilities, while integrating with existing district systems such as Google Workspace for Education, PowerSchool, and identity management solutions like Active Directory.
The system should enable streamlined processes for device assignment and return, including features like barcode or QR code scanning and the option for digital signature capture. It should offer offline functionality, incident recording, management of fines and fees related to device damage or loss, and individual student balance tracking. Seamless integration with payment systems or accounting exports is required, as well as functionality to restrict new device checkouts for unpaid fees and provide fee notifications to parents and students.
Direct synchronization with Google Admin Console for device and organizational unit (OU) management and automated imports of student and staff data from PowerSchool are necessary. Compatibility with SSO systems, open APIs for custom reporting and future integrations, and support for both built-in and customizable reports—covering inventory, assignments, repairs, and fees—are expected. The platform must also provide dashboard support, audit trails, and scheduled report exports.
Vendors interested in this opportunity must submit any questions by December 15, 2025.
