An agency is seeking qualified vendors to deliver a cloud-based AI medical coding service. The vendor will be responsible for the design, development, deployment, and ongoing support of a real-time, browser-based AI chatbot aimed at improving clinical documentation and enhancing the accuracy of medical coding. The solution should support coding for current procedural terminology, international classification of diseases, comorbid and major comorbid conditions, as well as diagnostic-related group-like classifications.

The AI-powered interface must allow clinicians and coders to input clinical notes for analysis by a coding-specific large language model (LLM). This model should highlight crucial clinical terms, suggest clearer or more complete terminology, provide rationales for its recommendations, assist in structured note creation, and offer version control features, including the ability to approve or reject edits. While full integration with a computerized patient record system (CPRS) is not required for the initial contract year, the system should be designed with future adaptability in mind, to support more comprehensive data interactions in line with evolving technical requirements.

The contract duration will be for one year.
