DESCRIPTION

The City of Hendersonville is soliciting bids for a comprehensive janitorial services program for the City Hall Building, Police Building, Police Annex Building, and the Freehill Maintenance Shop and Breakroom. The initial contract term is from January 1st, 2027, through June 30th, 2028, with the option for four additional one-year extensions. Services include routine cleaning, disinfecting, and replenishment of fixtures, as well as as-needed extra work such as floor stripping and waxing, and major carpet cleaning.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must have completed at least one contract for a public agency involving services of similar size and scope with a term of at least three years
Must have a minimum of three years of experience providing services of similar size and scope
Must have been in business for a minimum of three consecutive years operating under its current legal business name and entity
All work must be performed by W-2 employees of the bidding company
Must provide a minimum of three references for contracts involving services of similar size and scope, with at least two from governmental agencies
Must furnish and maintain a Fidelity Bond in a minimum amount of $25,000
Must possess Worker's Compensation, Employer's Liability, General Liability, and Automobile Liability insurance meeting specified coverage limits
Mandatory pre-bid site inspection must be completed between November 16th and November 18th, 2026
Must maintain a 24-hour, 7 day/week telephone service
Employees assigned to the Police Building or Police Annex must complete a criminal background check process
