The organization is seeking a vendor to provide a comprehensive Charge Management System (CMS) tailored for managing and monitoring battery-electric bus (BEB) charging infrastructure. The solution should encompass both software and any necessary hardware, enabling remote-controlled electrical demand management and detailed system monitoring.
The CMS must coordinate bus charging operations and include a user-friendly interface featuring a real-time dashboard to display charger statuses, yard layout, and the GPS location of each bus. Advanced depot management is required, offering features such as smart charging prioritization by vehicle state-of-charge, integration of parking location, charging type, and operational scheduling related to bus pull-in and pull-out times. The system should provide live information acquisition and reporting, including state-of-charge data for specified vehicles, and support for bus telematics. Also included are requirements for scheduling software and CAD/AVL (Computer-Aided Dispatch/Automatic Vehicle Location) features.
Questions related to the RFP must be submitted by March 19, 2026, and the contract will have a one-year duration.
Best-fit vendors:
• Proven experience in delivering fleet charge management systems
• Expertise in developing software for electric vehicle infrastructure
• Capability to integrate hardware and telematics solutions
• Familiarity with depot management and CAD/AVL technologies
• Prior work with public transit agencies or large fleet operators
