DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Albuquerque, New Mexico, is seeking a strategic materials-management partner to provide centralized Materials Management and Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) supply and warehouse operations services. The selected contractor will help transition decentralized Facility Services materials activities into a coordinated, professionally managed centralized warehouse operation.

Services are expected to include providing qualified personnel to operate and manage the warehouse, improving the availability of routine and critical MRO materials for planned, reactive, and emergency work, and reducing the time technicians spend locating, sourcing, purchasing, and retrieving materials. The program will also establish work-order-based material accountability, preventive-maintenance kitting, critical-spare management, and transparent reporting.

The initiative aims to improve inventory accuracy and inventory turns while reducing duplicate, excess, obsolete, emergency, and spot-buy activity.
