DESCRIPTION

The government authority located in Boston, Massachusetts is seeking vendors to provide comprehensive career, technical, workforce training, and employment services. Designed for youth in both residential and community settings, the programs should equip participants with workforce competencies, skills, and experience while offering compensation.

Qualified entities may include vocational and higher education institutions, unions, businesses, nonprofit and community-based organizations, and other relevant agencies. The goal is to develop and operate innovative programs—functioning as small, entrepreneurial businesses—that help youth prepare for meaningful employment opportunities in high-demand sectors of the regional labor market.

The selected vendor will implement and manage a workforce development model that enhances academic, technical, and employability skills, reduces recidivism, and addresses employment barriers for youth transitioning from residential treatment programs. A key component is building a broad network of employer partnerships, regularly assessing workforce needs, and providing youth with transferable skills, credentials, and pro-social behaviors to secure and advance in jobs that offer family-sustaining wages.
