New York is seeking a vendor to provide a support solution for business rules engines as part of efforts to modernize workflows and ensure compliance for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP). The objective is to implement and support decisions software that enables the creation and management of all workflows and rules related to compliance within the Paperless Office System (POS).
This solution will empower both IT staff and business users to externalize and manage business rules efficiently, allowing for timely updates to eligibility determination rules without requiring system code changes. The project involves the design, development, and maintenance of eligibility and compliance rules, with adjustments as agency policies change to ensure decisions remain current and accurate.
The system will support various disbursed programs and business units in recording, approving, and notifying clients regarding reasonable accommodation decisions and in fulfilling these accommodations. It will also encompass support for services including cash assistance, food assistance, public health insurance, emergency rental assistance, and other essential aid. Interested vendors should note that all questions regarding this opportunity must be submitted by December 26, 2025.
