The City seeks a professional consultant to provide a comprehensive business continuity plan service. The project scope includes the integration of an IT Disaster Recovery component and a Job Action Contingency component, each based on a consultant-led Business Impact Analysis. The development methodology must be standardized and adhere to industry-recognized best practices for business continuity.
The selected consultant will prepare an executive brief that clearly outlines the plan’s objectives, scope, structure, governance, roles, and responsibilities. Responsibilities also include reviewing all existing City emergency, recovery, and redundancy plans and manuals—whether they are complete or drafts. Additionally, the consultant will evaluate all service workbooks for business units to determine current service delivery levels, analyze current recovery capabilities and redundancies, and create a continuity plan that delineates each department’s specific roles and responsibilities.
Best-fit vendors:
• Expertise in business continuity planning and disaster recovery
• Experience with public sector or municipal clients
• Strong background in business impact analysis and industry-standard methodology
• Proven track record developing continuity plans for complex organizations
