A California-based organization is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive bus marketing services with the goal of increasing ridership and customer loyalty. The selected consultant will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing campaigns that target both current and potential riders, encouraging more frequent and trial bus usage through innovative strategies.

Key responsibilities include creating customer retention programs, designing grassroots outreach initiatives to educate the public about bus usage and benefits, and promoting special pass programs and improved routes. The vendor will also provide original photography services to visually enhance marketing materials, and strategically identify and target market segments most likely to use public transit.

The scope of work covers campaign theme and message development for both digital and print formats, as well as the formulation of a comprehensive marketing plan to guide efforts throughout the contract period. Additional tasks include developing and optimizing strategies for email, social media, and mobile marketing, managing both online and traditional media planning and purchases, tracking campaign effectiveness, and gaining insights into customer behaviors to maximize engagement.
