The government authority in Salem, New Jersey seeks qualified Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to design, construct, and operate a fiber broadband network utilizing both underground and aerial infrastructure components. The objective is to deliver reliable, affordable, and scalable high-speed internet access to all addresses within the project area using a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) architecture that includes both underground and aerial installations.
Service providers must ensure that internet offerings come without data caps or throttling, and should be prepared to offer optional supplementary services based on demand, such as extended indoor coverage via Mesh Wi-Fi solutions, bundled entertainment packages, and bundled telephony services. Additionally, critical network data should be stored in multiple geographically separated data centers to protect data integrity in the event of extreme incidents.
