Alberta seeks a unified bookstore retail management and e-commerce system integrating POS, inventory, and online operations for campus bookstores.
(1) Vendor needs to provide bookstore retail management and e–commerce system.– Solution should integrate key functions such as point–of–sale, inventory management, e–commerce, and reporting, supporting a seamless transition from the current bookstore operations to a fully integrated retail platform.– Provide a unified platform integrating both physical (in–store) and online (e–commerce) bookstore operations.– Ability for management override and real–time access without system delay.– Ability to display images and promotional information at checkout.– Custom data entry screens (e.g., serial number, student ID, mail/web orders).– Industry–standard retail website layout (examples to be provided).– Student booklist searchable by ID, course, or section, supporting new, used and digital formats and required, optional and either configuration.– Online gift card balance check and redemption.– Admin interface to manage products, descriptions, pricing, and images.– High–volume transaction support and secure web hosting.– Support for multiple payment methods: cash, cheque, credit and debit card, sponsor accounts, invoices.– Real–time synchronization between POS and e–commerce.– Campus eBookstore digital course materials.(2) All questions must be submitted no later than November 19, 2025.(3) The contract period will be for five years.
