Kansas is seeking a qualified vendor to provide an automated parking guidance system that leverages a hybrid approach combining single-space and level count technologies. The proposed system will utilize camera-based technology to monitor individual parking spaces on levels 2 and 3 of parking structures, while the top, sky-exposed level will be tracked as a zone.
The APGS software must integrate with the Parking Access and Revenue Control System (PARCS) to receive and display real-time surface lot parking counts on roadway signs. Additionally, the system should include robust content management tools for updating full-matrix signage, as well as reporting and management capabilities for overseeing parking operations. The contract for the selected vendor will span one year.
