(1) Vendor needs to provide asbestos abatement school buildings construction service to the government authority located in Topeka, KS.– The contractor’s responsibility to protect the existing grounds of all School buildings, adjacent buildings surrounding the project area, and interior/exterior elements of the building during the abatement of this project. All damages to the elements, which are scheduled to remain in place, of any abated building is to be repaired at the contractor’s expense. Primary streets and parking lots are to remain open to through traffic. Pedestrians and occupants of adjacent buildings are to be strictly segregated from the abatement zones by the contractor. Prior to the beginning of the abatement process for each classroom, the Window Replacement Contractor will remove from window openings: furniture, any wiring/lights, curtains, curtain rods, window blinds and rods, ceiling tile, and metal grid work. After all window openings are free of obstructions the Abatement Contractor shall remove the interior vertical metal columns covering the window panel joints, and then remove the bolts and nuts that connect each window panel.
