The government authority in North Carolina seeks private sector design firms to provide architectural open-ended design services for a variety of small-scale renovation and new construction projects. Selected firms will be responsible for developing renovation designs, preparing construction contract documents, and assisting with repairs or new buildings of limited scope.
Up to six architectural design firms will be chosen for a one-year term, with the potential for a one-year renewal as open-ended design providers. Services include architectural design, interior design, space planning, feasibility studies, cost estimating, and general consultation, all of which must be performed on an as-needed basis. Firms are expected to provide design assistance, consultation, and have the capacity to respond quickly to campus location requirements.
Best-fit vendors:
• Licensed architectural design firm with expertise in renovation and small building projects
• Experience with government contracts and institutional architecture
• Capacity for quick on-site response in North Carolina
• Proven track record in feasibility studies, space planning, and cost estimating
• Medium to large firm able to support ongoing, as-needed requests
