This RFP seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive API integration services for Nigerian Identification Number (NIN) verification. The API must allow for submission of NIN and other relevant fields, such as name, date of birth, and phone number, and perform real-time or near real-time verification against authoritative or licensed data sources permitted by law. The solution should return a clear validity status for each NIN query (e.g., “valid”, “invalid”, “not found”, “inactive”), as well as any authorized key identity attributes for matching purposes, like full name, date of birth, and gender. Robust error handling must be included, with precise error codes for cases such as invalid data format, incomplete submissions, system downtime, or access issues.

All documentation should be user-friendly to ensure easy adoption by developers and technical staff, supporting the organization’s integration and enrollment verification needs.
