(1) Vendor needs to provide annual pavement maintenance program service to the government authority located in Independence, MO.– The contract provides for pavement sealing of types including Cape Seal and Scrub Seal w/Fog Seal– The contract also provides for surface and pavement preparation work.– This work shall include, but not be limited to removal of existing pavement markings and cleaning/sweeping the area of pavement to be sealed to remove dirt, oil, standing water, debris, and other foreign material.– Also included shall be covering all manhole covers, water boxes, catch basins, and other such utility structures within the area being treated– Pavement Preparation. This work shall include but not limited to, crack sealing, crack filling, patching and joint repair.– Ancillary items of work shall consist of Portland cement concrete curb, sidewalk and handicap ramps, thermoplastic pavement striping, traffic control and all appurtenant work necessary for the completion of the project as indicated in the contract documents and outlined in the specifications– Tests to establish preliminary design of the concrete and asphalt mixes shall be the responsibility of the Contractor.– All other tests will be paid for by the Owner, including costs of transporting samples
