The Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), on behalf of the Program Executive Office Undersea Warfare Systems, Submarine Combat and Weapons Control Program Office (PMS 425), has announced the upcoming AN/BYG–1 Applications requirement. This initiative intends to provide industry with relevant information regarding the project's scope and collect feedback on the draft requirements via a published Draft Solicitation. To facilitate dialogue and industry engagement, an Industry Day will be held on May 28, 2026, at the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Newport Division in Newport, Rhode Island. The event will include presentations, a question–and–answer session, and scheduled breakout sessions with government representatives.

The Draft Solicitation and accompanying materials are available to registered users of the Electronic Technical Information Center (E–TIC). Companies are invited to review these materials, provide questions or comments, and optionally attend the Industry Day event. Participation in Industry Day is not required to submit input on the draft requirements. The Government emphasizes that this announcement is for informational and planning purposes only and is not a formal Request for Proposals. No proposals are being solicited at this time, and participation does not confer any advantage or obligation regarding future solicitations.
