DESCRIPTION

The government authority in Buzzards Bay, Massachusetts seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive alumni magazine services for a publication with a circulation of approximately 15,000. The selected vendor will design and lay out the magazine in alignment with existing templates, as well as collect and manage production-ready artwork. Responsibilities also include preparing files for printing, archiving and storing all design and production materials, and drafting print specifications such as paper recommendations.

The vendor will be expected to review up to two rounds of press proofs and attend or supervise press checks during printing. They must develop themes and editorial direction for each issue, present 2–3 preliminary design options for the cover and feature story, and ensure adherence to Academy brand and style standards. The magazine measures 8.5 x 11 inches finished, with options for 32 or 36 interior pages plus covers, utilizing full color, full bleeds, and high-quality gloss paper and cover stock. The binding may be saddle-stitched or perfect bound as proposed by the vendor.
