Ontario is seeking a qualified consultant to develop a comprehensive Aerospace and Defence Investment Strategy, complemented by a multi-year implementation plan. This strategy will leverage existing regional assets and initiatives to enhance Ontario’s aerospace and defence sector capabilities. The consultant will be responsible for creating a detailed roadmap that attracts both domestic and international investment, drives the creation of high-quality jobs, supports innovation and commercialization, and fosters a skilled, future-ready workforce.

Key objectives include establishing a clear long-term vision and strategic priorities for the sector's development, identifying opportunities for high-value investment, and positioning Ontario as a leader in aerospace and defence innovation and industry growth. The work will also align with national and provincial priorities, strengthening regional competitiveness and supporting the retention, expansion, and attraction of businesses across land, naval, aerospace, and joint forces markets. Enhancing partnerships with academia, industry, government, and innovation networks will be a critical consideration.

Additionally, the consultant will be expected to develop marketing, branding, and outreach strategies to elevate Ontario’s profile as a premier destination for aerospace and defence investment. Recommendations should include investor information packages, trade missions and events, outreach strategies for national and international markets, and approaches for digital sector promotion.
