The agency is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive advertising services for its transit vehicles and bus shelters. The awarded vendor will have exclusive rights to use portions of buses for advertising, including the curb side and driver side, using various ad formats such as Queen, King, Super King, and King Kong advertisements. All advertising content placed must receive agency approval, and self-promotion materials may also be included.
Vendors will be responsible for the installation and removal of graphics, particularly when transitioning between contracts, as well as the production, placement, and removal of in-shelter advertisements. They must maintain detailed records of all advertising business contracts, including product names, advertisement run dates, and comprehensive line-item details for each media product, making these records available for audit or inspection.
The scope also includes maintaining advertising inventory and fleet information, assessing available advertisement spaces at bus shelter locations, and developing and executing marketing plans to announce and promote the availability of advertisement space to relevant sales agencies and representatives. Regular marketing reports will also be required to keep the agency informed of advertising activities.
Best-fit vendors:
• Experienced advertising agencies specializing in transit and out-of-home media
• Proven track record managing large-scale advertising space sales
• Familiarity with California transit agencies
• Capacity for installation, removal, and recordkeeping of transit advertising
• Ability to develop and implement marketing plans for ad space availability
