The Navy is seeking information from vendors capable of providing advanced signatures training and decision systems to support the development of new software capabilities for both afloat and shore-based systems in Maryland. The scope encompasses data processing, storage, simulation/generation, and visualization, with a particular emphasis on integrating and continuously evaluating evolving technologies and open-source standards such as Kafka, Cassandra, Spark, HTML5/CSS/JavaScript, CesiumJS, Angular, RESTful web services, scalable event-driven applications, and the Ozone Widget Framework.
Responsibilities include supporting the design, development, testing, and documentation of modifications to existing legacy software to accommodate new technologies while maintaining functional requirements. Vendors are expected to leverage open-source software and libraries to create reusable system architectures, analytics, and visualization displays applicable across multiple systems for enhanced data processing and decision-making. Additional tasks include the development and documentation of 2D, 3D, scientific, and real-time data visualization tools; ongoing systems evolution; and integration of new technologies.
The vendor will also be responsible for advancing data science and analytics capabilities, identifying emerging technologies, and developing, integrating, and testing interfaces to support development operations, network defense, and intelligence systems—particularly as they relate to data visualization and enhanced decision support.
