DESCRIPTION
A government authority in Midhurst, Ontario seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive actuarial and broker services in support of its integrated risk insurance program. This forward-thinking program employs a multi-year, multi-line strategy designed to reduce risk transfer costs, introduce creative risk transfer and self-insurance solutions, and achieve efficient administration.
The successful firm will serve as a strategic advisor to both the Pool and its member municipalities, supporting the program’s continuous development, effective management, and long-term sustainability. Core responsibilities include conducting annual actuarial reviews to assess claim reserving and funding, assisting auditors in estimating claim liabilities, and delivering regular capital adequacy reports. The provider will also aid in budget calculation, methodology development for operational models, launching self-funded ventures such as cyber liability and environmental protection, and evaluating claim development and funding protocols.
Additionally, the vendor must collect, analyze, organize, and maintain detailed underwriting data from municipal clients for insurance placements and renewals. Responsibilities also include ensuring accurate and timely submission of information and coordinating policy issuance for areas such as automobile liability. The initial contract term is one year.
