A government authority in North Bergen, New Jersey seeks an experienced vendor to provide comprehensive accounting services for its Public Housing Agency. Responsibilities include monthly review of books and records in compliance with Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD) procedures, reconciliation of bank statements, testing trial balances, and reviewing general ledger entries made by the bookkeeper.
The selected firm will also prepare fiscal reports and balance sheets as required by federal, state, and local statutes, handle journal vouchers, and manage semi-annual book closing with submission of necessary financial reports. Additionally, the vendor will assist the Executive Director with the technical aspects of budget preparation and serve as a consultant on accounting and financial matters.
