Western is seeking a vendor to provide an accessible, cloud-based wayfinding software solution to enhance campus navigation for all users, including those with disabilities. The platform must enable users to locate classrooms, offices, amenities, and services using accessible navigation features such as step-free routes, door locations, accessible washrooms, and elevators, ensuring an inclusive experience.
The solution should be compatible with existing campus GIS and mapping systems, including ArcGIS and AutoCAD, and must securely store data while adhering to Canadian privacy and data-residency requirements. The vendor will be responsible for supporting the implementation process, delivering training and documentation to stakeholders, and ensuring the product is flexible for future integration with platforms like the Western App, university website, and LMS D2L Brightspace. Ongoing maintenance, updates, and customer support are required throughout the contract term. The software must demonstrate compliance with accessibility standards such as AODA and WCAG 2.1 AA or higher, with validation through testing and demonstrations to guarantee high visual accuracy and user experience.
