Youth Virtual Career Skills Building Platform

The State of New Jersey seeks a vendor to provide a virtual career skills-building platform for youth participants in the Summer Youth Work Experience Program (SYWEP), serving up to 87 individuals aged 16–24. The selected vendor will also help create a pool of employer respondents to facilitate valuable summer work experiences for these youth, supporting their transition into the workforce.

The platform must be an off-the-shelf, virtual solution requiring a minimum of 15 hours to complete. Core features should include a career exploration tool and distinct career skills tracks developed from the vendor's existing programs, enabling each participant to earn an Industry Track Badge. Access for participants must continue for at least three months after program completion. The platform should be compatible with iOS, Windows, and Android operating systems, and fully functional on desktops and mobile devices as well as the major browsers: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari.

A participant dashboard for tracking individual progress and an administrative portal for program coordinators are required. The vendor will train the coordinator on using the administrator features and provide ongoing support for any questions. Additionally, the vendor must facilitate introductory cohort webinars for participants to orient them to the platform.
