DESCRIPTION
The client is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive workers’ compensation services. The selected contractor will manage Workers’ Compensation Claims and Cost Containment Services for all activities on or after July 1, 2027, covering claims incurred since July 1, 1986. The scope includes overseeing claims administration, program administrative support, coordinating short and long term disability programs, and providing paralegal and medical preferred services.
Additional responsibilities involve provider bill review, utilization review, a discount prescription drug program, supplies and apparatus management, surveillance, field investigation, assignment of two dedicated staff for loss control and safety consulting/training, payroll classification audits, field medical and vocational placement, telephonic nurse consulting, and the provision of an online proprietary claim reporting system. Occasional management of claims prior to the specified service period, along with specialized agency and industrial hygienist services, may be required and billed separately. The contract term is three years, with opportunities for pre-bid engagement and a defined Q&A timeline.
