DESCRIPTION
This RFP seeks a vendor to provide comprehensive workers’ compensation coverage and third-party administrative (TPA) services. The selected provider will be responsible for the evaluation, investigation, and administrative handling of all workers’ compensation claims, as well as for implementing medical cost containment strategies.
The TPA must supply thorough claims reports and incident reviews to identify trends and support the development of loss prevention and safety policies. Additional duties include assisting the Board with maintaining up-to-date coverage information, monitoring claims and safety services provided by carriers and the administration, and outlining critical coverage details such as deductibles, premiums, self-insured retentions, and liability limits. Coordination with the Board and its excess carrier regarding claims frequency and settlements is required.
The contract will be awarded for a period of five years.
