The government authority at Scott Air Force Base in Illinois is seeking vendors to provide wireless intrusion detection systems (WIDS) for comprehensive facility security. The required solution must continuously monitor the Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum and offer real-time scanning, detection, geolocation, and alerting of unauthorized wireless emissions and portable electronic devices (PEDs) throughout the entire facility.
The system should provide security personnel with real-time situational awareness of the RF environment, enabling proactive extension of the physical security perimeter into the wireless domain to prevent any unauthorized data transmission, bridging, or eavesdropping, particularly in high-security areas. Additionally, the solution must allow for custom configuration of geofenced zones and device whitelisting.
The WIDS must be capable of 24/7 monitoring of the RF spectrum, and be sufficiently advanced to immediately locate and identify the specific room or zone where a device is transmitting, distinguishing individual devices from others in the vicinity. The deadline for vendor questions is June 12, 2026.
