The selected vendor will deliver wayfinding and signage services with a focus on inclusivity, accessibility, and universal design to ensure usability by a diverse range of users. The project requires the development of a modular, phased signage plan that allows future expansion and ensures that all wayfinding elements can be easily updated or replaced, keeping information current and signage in good condition.
The vendor will enhance downtown streetscapes with visually appealing signage while minimizing sidewalk obstruction. Designs must comply with the Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices and other relevant federal or state guidelines. The scope also emphasizes general wayfinding, with limited business-specific signage, such as kiosks with maps highlighting local businesses as required during the design process. The project should balance the need for important details (e.g., parking regulations) with visual clarity, avoiding excessive visual complexity.
