The Grand Traverse County Department of Public Works (DPW) is soliciting proposals for a comprehensive classification and compensation study to develop a modern, equitable, and competitive system for its 19 full-time employees. The scope includes organizational assessment, position analysis, wage study, compensation system design, recruitment and retention assessment, and financial analysis. The contract duration is anticipated for three years, with two one-year renewal options. The firm may also be retained for ongoing on-call support services.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

  • Firm must be registered in Michigan
  • Must provide a summary of qualifications not exceeding 25 pages
  • Must provide a Bidders Proposal with a Not to Exceed (NTE) dollar amount
  • Must provide a rate sheet or list of hourly rates and escalation/inflation rates for years 2-5
  • Must maintain Worker's Compensation Insurance
