The Virginia Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for unplanned tree pruning, small tree removal, and brush removal services in the Bristol District.

Must be certified as a small/micro business by the Commonwealth of Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (DSBSD) or submit a Small Business Subcontracting Plan
Must employ or engage an International Society of Arboriculture (ISA) Certified Arborist
Must provide a copy of the Arborist’s current certification with the bid or within 48 hours of request
Must have at least one employee verified by VDOT in Basic Work Zone Traffic Control
Must have at least one employee verified by VDOT in Intermediate Work Zone Traffic Control
Must be capable of commencing work within ten calendar days of award
Must provide all necessary equipment and tools including trucks, bucket trucks, brush chippers, chain saws, and pole saws
Must provide a Truck-Mounted Attenuator (TMA) and Advanced Warning Message Board per the VA Work Area Protection Manual
Must have at least two individuals trained to input lane closures into the LCAMS system
Must carry a valid government-issued picture identification card at all times when working on VDOT right-of-way
Must maintain required insurance coverage including Workers' Compensation, Employer's Liability, Commercial General Liability, and Automobile Liability
