The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Office for Coastal Management in Charleston, SC, intends to award a sole-source contract for Trimble eCognition software licenses and support. The contract will provide licensing and maintenance/support for three eCognition Developer licenses and two eCognition Server licenses for a period of 36 consecutive months.

The eCognition software is a vital component of NOAA's image processing system, supporting the manipulation of AVHRR and IKONOS data and interoperating with geospatial tools such as Imagine and ArcView. The software is used daily by remote sensing staff for essential coastal management tasks. Ongoing maintenance and technical support are required to ensure efficient resolution of issues related to remote sensing data processing. Trimble Navigation Limited is recognized as the sole authorized provider of maintenance and support for eCognition products required by NOAA.
