DESCRIPTION

The City of Tulsa, Oklahoma is seeking professional or emerging artists, or teams of artists, to participate in a public art initiative involving the design and implementation of artwork for traffic control boxes. The selected artwork will serve as a 360-degree 'photo-op' piece wrapping designated traffic control boxes throughout the city.

Artists are required to provide a descriptive title and a 5–10 sentence description of the piece, which will be used in conjunction with Route 66 ArtStoryMaps. Artwork must include a Route 66 Art StoryMaps graphic and an integrated QR code, rendered in high-resolution design files (300 dpi or higher). All submissions must comply with Public Works’ policies for traffic box wraps.

A pre-bid meeting will take place on June 8, 2026, and all questions regarding the RFP must be submitted by June 18, 2026.
