The issuing organization is seeking a vendor to provide third-party claims administrator services in Louisiana. The selected contractor will be expected to complete enrollment and eligibility activities prior to the contract effective date through electronic data transfer from current third-party administrators, and to begin full claims administration services on the effective date.
Scope of work includes claims processing and management functions such as coordination of benefits, subrogation, Medicare coordination, and resolution of disputed claims with providers. The contractor will also be expected to offer utilization review, large case management, wellness, and disease management programs, maintain and update master record files, and provide instructions for proper claim submission techniques.
Additional responsibilities include reporting the current percentage of claims submitted electronically, notifying claimants and service providers of payment decisions, making field claim consultants and professional resources available for complex claims evaluation, and delivering an annual financial accounting with case-specific reserve change details and expense commentary. Questions are due no later than June 5, 2026.
