DESCRIPTION


The selected vendor will provide third party administrator services, primarily focused on Builder’s Risk claims adjusting. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of claims adjusting such as staffing, developing claims handling procedures, establishing effective communication protocols, and maintaining robust reporting capabilities.

The service provider will set up a centralized adjusting process for all Builder’s Risk claims, ensuring consistency across multiple subscribing insurance carriers. Timely and efficient response, investigation, and evaluation of claims are required, including prompt mobilization following a loss event. The administrator must maintain clear and proactive communication with the city, insurance broker, carriers, and all project stakeholders throughout the claim lifecycle.

The provider will be expected to deliver accurate claim documentation, precise cost estimation, and sound reserving practices to support better financial oversight. The goal is to minimize project disruption through efficient claim resolution and effective coordination with contractors and other involved parties. The scope also includes protecting the city's financial interests by ensuring fair and well-supported settlement of claims, reducing administrative inefficiencies, and improving reporting transparency. The contract will be awarded for a period of three years.
