Third Party Administrator Medical Services

The requesting organization seeks a vendor to provide third-party administrator services for their medical benefits program. The selected vendor will be responsible for administering all aspects of claims management, including receiving and reviewing claims and provider billing information, conducting timely investigations, and issuing settlements to satisfy claims efficiently. Use of legal services for any third-party claims as needed is required.

The selected administrator will also manage all claimant inquiries and assume full responsibility for claim adjustments, thereby relieving internal personnel of these activities. Additional duties include COBRA administration for all eligible individuals, providing plan documents and summary descriptions to the plan administrator as needed, supplying retiree claims cost data to the actuary, and administering the flexible spending account program for both medical and dependent care accounts. The administrator must also provide necessary advice on plan provisions and interpretations upon request, and ensure the benefits offered meet or exceed the current plan's level. The contract will span a five-year term.
