DESCRIPTION
The selected vendor will provide third party administration services for dental benefits. Responsibilities include the receipt and review of all claims and provider billing information, initiating and conducting timely investigations of all claims and invoices, and evaluating the appropriateness and coverage of billed services in accordance with the benefits plan. The administrator will utilize legal services as needed for any third-party claims, answer all inquiries from claimants, and manage the adjustment and settlement of claims to minimize the workload on client personnel.
Additionally, the vendor will handle COBRA administration for all current and future enrollees and employees, including those with fully insured plans. The role requires the collection, storage, and reporting of claim exposure and other essential data for risk management purposes, as well as providing retiree claims cost data to actuaries. The administrator must ensure the dental benefits offered meet or exceed the current plan level. The contract period will be five years.
