DESCRIPTION


The selected vendor will provide state government relations consultant services for a one-year contract. The consultant will be chosen through a competitive process based not only on price but also on qualitative factors to ensure effective collaboration with internal personnel. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining positive relationships with members of the general assembly and relevant stakeholders.

The contractor will deliver timely reports on legislative activity and meet with staff on a monthly—and occasionally weekly—basis to review information and prepare action plans that advance the organization's objectives. Monitoring of state and local legislation, proceedings, and publications of rules and regulations is a core requirement. The service approach should be both cost-effective and practical.
