The state of Georgia is seeking information from vendors regarding a cloud-based solution for centralized rostering and user access management. The objective is to implement a middleware and aggregator platform that will serve as a secure, central data hub, connecting authoritative student information system (SIS) data with all downstream educational technology (EdTech) applications.
The desired platform must provide automated user account provisioning, creating accounts in connected applications when new user records appear in the SIS. It should detect and propagate data changes from the SIS to all integrated applications, aggregate core rostering data, and map it to a standardized format. The system must support the exchange of rostering data via RESTful APIs using JSON and formatted CSV files within ZIP archives.
The solution should define and manage roles for various user types—including students, teachers, administrators, and staff—and automatically assign access entitlements based on those roles. Support for multi-level organizational structures is required to properly manage access permissions. Additionally, the platform must be capable of mapping standardized data to each application's specific requirements and support fine-grained access profiles to enforce least-privilege principles, ensuring users only receive the level of access necessary for their roles.
