DESCRIPTION

The selected vendor will provide a comprehensive real-time location system for a major hospital campus in Mississippi. This scope includes the restoration, installation, and configuration of all missing or damaged information technology infrastructure devices essential for supporting clinical operations, administrative functions, security systems, and enterprise network services.

Work will involve replacing and installing critical network components such as switches, access points, routers, firewalls, UPS devices, patch panels, and cabling. The vendor will also supply and install optics, patch cords, and cabling required to fully restore network paths. OEM-supported operating systems and firmware must be loaded, with all VA-provided configurations or templates—such as VLANs, routing, wireless profiles, and security baselines—applied.

Additional responsibilities include validating wireless provisioning (SSID broadcast, PoE allocation, signal performance), identifying and addressing damaged cables, correcting improperly terminated connections, and resolving mislabeled ports. Upon completion, comprehensive cable certification reports must be produced for all replaced cable runs.
