The Town of Chapel Hill is soliciting proposals for professional janitorial services, including labor, equipment, and supplies, for the Public Works Campus, the Post Office and Courthouse Facility, and the Town Hall. The contract term is one year with the option to renew for up to four additional one-year terms. Services include daily, weekly, and periodic cleaning tasks as specified in the scope of work.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

Must have been in business in the commercial janitorial service contracting business for a minimum of three years in North Carolina
Attendance at the mandatory pre-proposal meeting and site visit on October 22, 2026, is required
Must be registered with the Office of the North Carolina Secretary of State
Must provide evidence of Commercial General Liability and Business Automobile insurance with $1,000,000 per occurrence limits
Must provide evidence of Workers' Compensation insurance with $100,000 employer's liability and bodily injury by disease limits
Must provide Cyber Liability Coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate
Must comply with E-Verify requirements of Article 2 of Chapter 64 of the North Carolina General Statutes
Employees must have no convictions for violent or property crimes for the last ten years
Must assign a specific individual as the Company's Contract Manager with cleaning supervisory experience
Cleaning products must be certified by Green Seal or the EPA's Safer Choice program for Town Hall
