DESCRIPTION


The Town of High Level, Alberta, is seeking a vendor to provide assessment services for all assessable property within the Town, excluding linear property and designated industrial property. Services must comply with the Municipal Government Act and the Matters Relating to Assessment and Taxation Regulation, and include preparing annual assessments, assigning properties to the appropriate assessment classes and subclasses, and preparing supplementary assessments within the stated annual volume assumption.

The vendor must maintain a computer-assisted mass appraisal system at its own cost, including all required software, hardware, licensing, upgrades, and data conversion. Responsibilities also include maintaining assessment records, regularly backing up data, remedying any data loss at the vendor’s expense, and providing the Town with an annual backup copy of all assessment information or additional copies upon request.

The scope also includes linear property assessments, designated industrial property assessments, and preparation of the property tax roll and tax notices. Tax collection will be retained by the Town. The contract term will be three years, and questions must be submitted by September 11, 2026.
