DESCRIPTION
The government authority in Michigan seeks qualified vendors to provide comprehensive professional engineering services for the upgrade of existing traffic signal equipment. Required services include surveying, soil boring related to traffic signals, preparation of construction plans, Merl engineer’s estimates (in PDF and XML formats), project proposals, securing necessary permits, as well as project assistance during the letting phase and throughout construction.
The project entails the design and specification of upgrades to signal system components such as 16–Load Switch Base Mounted Controller Cabinets, traffic and pedestrian signal heads, pedestrian push button actuation (as needed), embedded loop and/or camera detection (as needed), illuminated case signs, Box Span wire displays, signal support poles and ancillary structures, and overhead illuminated street name signage.
