Preliminary and Final Design Services for Quentin Avenue

A government authority in Savage, Minnesota is seeking a consultant to provide preliminary and final design services for Quentin Avenue. The scope includes advancing the project through design while ensuring that work is completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with applicable state and federal laws, rules, and regulations.

Project administration responsibilities include monthly progress reports with budget status, invoicing, contract amendment requests as needed, cost and schedule updates, billing preparation, communication with project personnel, and other non-technical work necessary to support successful project delivery. The consultant will also be expected to provide general project coordination through update meetings with the project manager, project management team meetings, agency coordination meetings, public open house meetings, utility meetings, and other required meetings.

The selected consultant must perform quality assurance and quality control throughout the duration of the project, including into construction, to help ensure timely delivery of a quality product. Public and agency involvement will be important to the project’s success, requiring presentation of information and ongoing coordination with stakeholders. Laboratory testing of soil borings is also required as part of the assignment.
