City Of Georgetown
The government authority in Georgetown, Texas is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive pole attachment audit services. The scope includes field data collection relating to utility poles, such as recording Pole ID, GPS location, height, class, condition, year, and type (wood, steel, fiberglass, concrete, etc.), along with span lengths, all attached facilities (telecommunications, cable TV, broadband, fiber, wireless), and capturing geotagged photographs of both poles and attachments.
Vendors will be responsible for managing and reconciling collected data, cross-referencing field findings with existing joint-use and pole attachment records to identify discrepancies, unreported or misattributed attachments, and updating the authority’s inventory. The contractor must develop a comprehensive inventory database compatible with the utility’s GIS and asset management system (accepting shapefile or geodatabase formats) and provide regular updates to support ongoing joint-use management. Reconciliation to violations and communication with attachment owners for corrective action are also required. The contract is expected to last for one year.
