DESCRIPTION
The government authority located in Hartford, Connecticut, is seeking a qualified vendor to provide pension and post-employment trust investment consulting services. The consultant will be responsible for reviewing and recommending changes to the district’s pension and OPEB trust investment policies, including asset allocation, investment returns, and objectives. Guidance will also cover investment guidelines for diversification, quality, and performance.
The selected consultant will deliver quarterly written reports on the pension fund’s performance for multiple time periods, including analysis at the total fund, individual portfolio, and manager levels. Responsibilities also include attending regular quarterly meetings with District staff and Committees, conducting additional meetings as required, and performing at least one investment manager search annually if deemed necessary. Ongoing monitoring of the investment managers, attention to any organizational changes, and an annual fee analysis are expected. The consultant will also prepare a monthly status letter detailing pension plan performance, issues, and concerns. The contract period will be for three years.
